JUSTICE

Ashley, Scott and I went to Justice last night.  It was unbelievable.  One of the best and most beautiful sets I have ever seen!  Ashley threw out her neck, I threw out my lower back, and Scott walked away without a scratch.  Of course.

Since I try to make every post about food..

I was useless today after the concert last night.  It ruined me...in a good way. So I had a lazy day, but decided to do some cookie baking for my Bronx Zoo trip tomorrow!  So much for a drunken st. patty's day.

Started with peanut butter and peanut butter toffee chip, but then a cute little lady over speaker phone asked if I made chocolate chip.  How could I not...

Cookies below. AND a video of the show.

Mini Pies.

I started making mini pies not too long ago and I'm way too much of a chicken to actually approach retailers to sell them.  But this week is the week.  I'm thinking of heading to Provisions in Fort Greene.  It's an awesome fine/organic food store with desserts from local bakers.  Crossing my fingers that they bite (I made a funny).

My helper for the day.
More pies AND cookies coming tomorrow!

Greenpoint Love

Living in Williamsburg is very awesome, but I'm finding I love Greenpoint more and more.  People complain about the G train, but it isn't all that bad!  And if you have a bike, there are a few secrets that Scott has to get to work (near Bryant Park) in under 15 minutes.  Scott lives on a quiet street (near the set of boardwalk empire!) Street is undisclosed..

Anywhoo.  Anyone who lives in Brooklyn or NYC should definitely check out Franklin Ave if you haven't already.  East River Tattoo, The Pencil Factory, From the Source furniture warehouse, LuLu's, Paulie Gee's Pizza, Word (a very cute little book shop), Le Gamin (My sister's personal favorite--Sun filled, Infant friendly) and much, MUCH more.

An obvious choice for a photo op.

Sidewalk fun

Super cool marble warehouse..

If you're on Franklin Ave, you may very well run into this adorable idiot.
Speaking of the G train, please take time to read this and sign the petition.  The MTA has gone too far!

SAVE THE G!

Candy, Glorious Candy!

One thing in Ireland I couldn't get enough of....the Candy Bars!!

I do not eat candy bars because when I travel abroad, I eat enough to last me 3 years...Although I am going through serious withdrawal as we speak.  Scott got a good laugh out of me going nuts over this sugary delicious wonderful-ness.

My favs!

This one is my mother's favorite..

This is a goody!

I present to you, the best candy bar ever made!

More from Ireland....

I have over 200 photos from my trip, therefore it would be filthy not to put them to good use.  We were in our little Ford Focus (I was car sick the entire trip) exploring cliffs, pubs, mountains..

Some of my personal favorites...
Scotty looking cranky and cute

Mmmm Carlsberg

Where is Scott?

"The most fantastic view" for 4 euro... grrr.

Mr. Mountain Goat looking goaty.

Ha!

Ireland!

My love and I recently went to Ireland and explored the Ring of Kerry.  It was a breathtaking trip.  Beautiful sights, very sweet and talkative people, and crap food!

We managed to rent out a cabin in Waterville, which was beyond adorable. And it left me with the opportunity to cook a few meals!  I tried to make them "traditional" but I added a few extras...AMERICAN STYLE.
Traditional Roast!!

Ahhhhh Love.

Breakfast and a Fire..

Mmm Breakfast!

Memmoorrriiesss, from the corners of my miinnnnd

A few months back, I made my love a pie!  He wasn't home, so I semi-surprised him (he knew I was baking, but didn't know what) with a peach pie with vanilla almond crumble.  I think I put in too much nutmeg, but he ever so graciously stuffed his face and loved it.

What he didn't know was that I almost set the fire alarm off and nearly smoked out his dogs.  DETAILS!

Pa pa pa peach pie!
